        Wisconsin born pianist, Christopher Finkelmeyer, began his professional career at the age of 8. While still a student at Northwestern University, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra honored him with an unprecedented invitation to perform the Rachmaninoff #2 c minor piano concerto. His undergraduate degree complete, he entered The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Adele Marcus.

        Later, while competing in the International Busoni competition, he was noticed by renowned pianist, Paul Badura-Skoda, and was invited to study with him at Vienna's famed Hochschule für Musik. He completed his graduate studies at Ohio State under celebrated pianist, Earl Wild. A critically acclaimed soloist, his domestic appearances include Carnegie Hall, Arizona Sundome, Interlochen, the Chautauqua Institution, and the Ravinia Festival. He maintains an active interest in the development of American music and regularly features new and rarely heard works in his performance schedule.

        His training lineage goes back to the great composer, Ludwig van Beethoven. His great love for music and the audiences who enjoy it have made Chris a favorite in concert halls throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition to his active recital schedule, this year sees him expanding his residency activities, programs for children, and recording.
